Our Design Philosophy for Interior Architecture.

What makes Studio Rogier a practice in the real sense is our constant process of inquiry, affirmation, and critical speculation. As an interior design studio we do not believe in finding a trademark or a stylistic imprint - that would make consumers out of our clients. Instead, we rely on the strength of our empathy. We take pride in fulfilling the functional requirements efficiently and we achieve this objective aesthetically. However, we strive for a larger cultural connectivity as well. A Convention & Exhibition Centre in Macau, balances the commercial competitiveness with cultural centrality of family. A Dutch penthouse re-interprets the bathroom as a spa environment, enriching well-being. A beach house on the Dutch coast integrates great weekend comfort and nostalgic design yet a 300-year-old farm in the Dordogne, France calls for old charm and historic outdoor holiday elegance. Our work ranges from total projects and building planning, to commercial and residential interiors with final styling incorporating custom made paintings and art pieces. The diversity of practice is the means by which we achieve unity and balance. Our approach to design, whereby one project informs another, frees us from conventions and builds a repertory of experience, from which we draw. The purpose is not to impose ourselves on the projects, but to listen carefully and represent it clearly in order to foster new understandings and the right environment for our clients.
